THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ESSAY

We have all done a lot of research already, we have made assertions about our topic, constructed our own theories, compared our ideas with the ideas of scholars from our readings--so we SHOULD be pretty comfortable with pulling all this together for the essay, correct? WRONG. I am freaking out about the essay. While i feel that my assertions and theories are on track, i am having trouble finding that significant point about authorship. With the creation of and adaptation to text message lingo, there has been new genres of authorship being developed--such as txt spk poetry, and remixing of txt spk and known literature (like the bible). Because txt spk is now considered part of language, it is hard to define WHO the owner of txt spk really is--who can claim it, or who was the first person to use it. There are origins of languages but no one person who created them. Txt spk is no different. The origin of txt spk is most likely the first person to send out a text message (whether they used txt spk or not) because they are in fact the first to ever use this mode of communication. But thats just it, txt spk is not just a mode of communication now. its a form of expression, a mode of communication, a convenience, and a generation barrier.

Now that i have rambled on and on. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can make my ideas come full circle toward an authorship conclusion?
